In a backdrop of testing and assessment in London Pre-Prep schools, my colleagues and I have a rare opportunity to offer pupils the chance to guide their own learning, offering a holistic and dynamic curriculum delivered on a daily basis. Learning is meant to be fun, and we want to instill a passion for lifelong learning in all our pupils, whilst giving them the chance to explore and experience a feast of exciting opportunities, both within the classroom, in our school grounds, and across all areas of school life. The Early Years Foundation Stage and the English National Curriculum 2014 are the foundation stones on which our own curriculum is built. Through this we foster curiosity, risk-taking, exploration and discovery, skills that will remain with children for life.
On its own dedicated site our Pre-Prep offers our pupils, from the first day in Reception, an opportunity to experience a breadth of education that encompasses a creative curriculum. We offer a thrilling array of specialist taught subjects: sport, music, science, computing, French, dance & drama, art & design and the crucial life skill of swimming.
Most important to me, however, is the happiness of each pupil. Happy pupils succeed, and I place the relationships between staff, children and parents at the forefront of what makes Fulham Pre-Prep tick. I am extremely proud to lead a team who care deeply about our pupils and have a commitment to find each individual pupil’s strengths and develop their confidence, self-esteem and self-worth. I would be absolutely delighted to welcome you and your son / daughter to Fulham Pre-Prep. Our website gives you a taste of life here, but is no substitute for you to visit us in person. I very much look forward to welcoming you here to meet me, my staff and most importantly the pupils who make Fulham Pre-Prep the special community it is.
The Pre-Prep provides a safe and secure environment for younger children to develop their skills as well as learning how to work and play together. The Pre-Prep has its own site - a Victorian school building accommodating the Reception classes, two outside classrooms, the School Library and Computing Room. The adjoining 3-storey block, built in 2003, houses classrooms (Years 1 and 2) as well as the gym/assembly hall, Music Room and Art Studio. The Pre-Prep has the advantage of two large outside play areas, one of which is an astro-turf used for on-site outdoor games lessons. The Pre-Prep pupils have their own garden and pond to enjoy. Swimming takes place at Fulham Pools throughout the year. Tennis coaching (Years 1 and 2) occurs in the summer term, at Bishop's Park. Cooked lunches, prepared in our own kitchens, are provided for all children. However, Reception children can choose to bring in packed lunches, if they wish.
